Offset account calculator
Estimate how much interest money in an offset account could save you over the life of your loan.
Results are estimates based on the figures you enter and the example rate shown. They aren't a quote, an offer of credit or a guide to what a lender will approve.

How the offset is modelled
The balance you enter is treated as a constant amount held in an eligible offset account for the life of the loan. Interest each period is calculated on the loan balance minus the offset balance, never below zero. Scheduled repayments stay the same, so more of each repayment goes to principal and the loan finishes sooner.
Offset is not redraw
An offset account is a separate transaction account linked to the loan; the money remains yours to access. Redraw lets you withdraw extra repayments already made to the loan, subject to the lender's rules. Fees, eligibility and the way interest is calculated differ by product.
Calculations are estimates for general information only. They do not constitute a loan offer, credit approval or personalised financial advice. Actual repayments, fees, eligibility and savings depend on your lender, loan contract and circumstances. Speak with a qualified professional before making a decision.
